A method of faster-than-light travel that does not require the use of hyperspace and thus can be performed without the usage of hyperdrive or timefield generators.
Warp travel is noticeably less efficient and slower than hyperspace travel, but requires relatively common components as opposed to the complexities and black box components required for hyperdrives and timefields.
