====== Warp Drive ======

A method of [[wiki:universe:concepts:science:faster-than-light_travel|faster-than-light travel]] that does not require the use of [[wiki:universe:concepts:science:hyperspace]] and thus can be performed without the usage of [[hyperdrive]] or [[wiki:universe:objects:technology:defenses:timefield_generator|timefield generators]].

Warp travel is noticeably less efficient and slower than hyperspace travel, but requires relatively common components as opposed to the complexities and black box components required for hyperdrives and timefields.
